From the eclectic lawn games to the Tapp Trailer complete with exciting local beers. The amazing farm to table food and desert spread with bold color blocked place settings. The well curated playlist to the dress and the hair. All of the things... That and the fact that we love Camp Sky Ranch weddings. The homegrown summer camp theme makes everyone feel nostalgic! What a day.

Kind Words From The Bride...

"Working with Meris was one of the best decisions we made during our two-year long engagement. The month leading up to the wedding was the calmest I felt during the whole wedding planning process, and it had everything to do with her. After our first meeting a month before the event when we went over pages of notes for the wedding day (she brought up every single thing I had thought of over my whole two years of planning during that one meeting, and answered every question I had with ease) I knew that everything was going to be fine on the actual day because she and her team were on it. Even though I had planned a lot of the wedding myself and felt like I wanted to do as much as I could to help on the day of, I would not have been able to enjoy my wedding without hiring Meris and her team. Everything had to be set up and taken down in one day at our venue, and it was done so flawlessly and effortlessly: you notice them there because they are awesome and super nice, but at the same time you don't notice all the work they are doing behind the scenes! It's true that you really do feel like yours is the only wedding Meris is working on in the weeks leading up to the event because she is super responsive and also has a very calming presence (and it is sad when the wedding is over and you don't get to do Google hangout calls with Meris every week). Thanks to Meris and her team of "design savvy worker bees", my family, fiance and I were able to be totally present in the day, and that was invaluable!"

Skylar and Charlie's Wedding at Overlook Barn and Banner Elk Presbyterian Church

Skylar and Charlie are just about the sweetest couple we've ever seen. Both families are Boone NC natives and just the nicest people you'd ever meet. Sky and Charlie were even "high school sweethearts". Most of our wedding clients live out of town so it was super fun to have a classic, old school, real High Country people reunion. Loved all of the swoonworthy details from Park Place Florist and Ugga Mugga Bakery.

Katie and Owen's Wedding at Grandfather Golf and Country Club in Linville NC

We absolutely loved Katie and Owen’s sophisticated wedding at Grandfather Golf and Country Club! Her dress had to be a top contender as one of the favorites for the season! These two’s playful attitude made for a fantastic day with smiles and laughter all around. Katie’s vision fit perfectly with her early June wedding as the girls looked stunning in blush holding bouquets of simple greenery filled with blossoming ivory flowers. Sunglasses were the perfect favor for guests as they arrived to the helipad ceremony without a cloud in the sky. A 5 tier wedding cake with different flavors in each pleased the guest list, and had some coming back to test more! A rockin’ party went down on the dance floor as The Company Band played through the night!

Love her smile!!!

Liz and Jason's Wedding at Overlook Barn on Beech Mountain

From bringing out her banjo during the ceremony to the cowboy boots hiding under her dress, Liz and Jason brought Overlook barn back to it’s roots on their wedding day! Liz’s relaxed style allowed the simplistic beauty of the barn to shine through!

You would have never known the last minute alterations made for Liz’s dress to accommodate room for one more as she looked absolutely breathtaking in white! Her bridesmaid’s dresses provided the perfect amount of coral pop to the green mountain back drop and Nicole Huffman did a phenomenal job of catching all the right colors in her photos!

And can we talk about the cheese!? 5 rounds of Wisconsin cheese stacked high made for an eye catching alternative to a wedding cake.  Stick Boy made sure to provide plenty of sweets for the couple and their guests with an assortment of pies and cookies.

Connecting NC to their hometown in Texas, Jason and Liz started of the reception with the Copperroad Line Dance and later had Liz’s bandmate call a square dance which definitely got all guests off their feet! Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better day for a barn wedding and were thrilled to be a part of the soon-to-be new parents day in the high country!

Jill and Trey’s NC Mountain Wedding at Linville Ridge Country Club

Jill and Trey’s wedding was genuinely stunning. That dress, that dress, that dress!!! We also loved the light airy use of simple greenery and neutral flowers by Callista Designs.

Jill and Trey had a super fun wedding party. One of their “groomsmen” officiated the ceremony and another crafted the creative the arbor pictured below.

Since their wedding took place on a Sunday, they created an full weekend itinerary of parties and outdoorsy activities for their out of town guests. Emerald Empire band who we work with a lot, seriously brought the party and literally every guest was on the dance floor!
